In this tutorial we will show you how to use Softaculous to install an OpenCart application to your site. The process does not require any advanced skills and takes only few minutes to complete. After few clicks, you will have a fully-functional OpenCart installation on your website.
First , you need to access your cPanel account and find the Softaculous icon under the Software Services section. Click on the Softaculous icon to open the autoinstaller's page.
You will see a list of applications available for quick installation. From the left menu, expand the E-Commerce tab and click on the OpenCart link to start the installation process.
On the next page, you will find out more information about OpenCart and the different features that it offers. To proceed to the installation screen click on the blue Install button.
On the next page, you will have to configure the OpenCart installation. First, select the directory you want to install the script into. If you want it to be the main application for your site, leave this field empty.
Next, fill in the login details you will use with your OpenCart application. Make sure you provide a valid e-mail address - it can be used in case you have forgotten your password later on. Once you enter the necessary information, press the Instal button.
That's it! Your OpenCart application is installed and ready to be used. The installer will redirect you to a new page where you will see the details for the completed installation. You can now login and start working on your new online store.
